A pioneer in Mobile Relationship Marketing, Unotifi is the most advanced customer retention and mobile relationship management service for the automotive industry. Founded in 2010 by Fred van der Neut, Unotifi is based in Houston, Texas and supports franchise dealers and aftermarket service centers throughout the U.S.

The system, delivered as Software as a Service (SAAS), is a vertically integrated messaging platform that utilizes proprietary technologies to improve one-on-one customer relationships in order to achieve increased customer retention and loyalty.

Unotifi introduced its fully integrated system in November 2011, and launched its industry standard-setting Communicator text messaging platform a few months later.  As a pioneer in Mobile Relationship Marketing, Unotifi continues to introduce CRM tools like Mobile Alerts and its Service Business Development Center program that deliver more sales and higher customer satisfaction levels.

Through its Mobile Alerts program, Unotifi’s technology detects when customers are in for service and sends them personalized text messages. It also alerts sales and service associates about the customers’ vehicles needs and ownership position – all in real time.  The Unotifi Mobile Alerts and Communicator services allow a dealer to take their service and sales philosophy into the digital and mobile era.

By offering its customers state-of-the-art and value-based technology, Unotifi has repeatedly demonstrated its ability to increase customer satisfaction and retention, while improving dollars per Repair Order (RO) and frequency of customer visits.

Management

Fred1Fred van der Neut – Founder and President

Mr. van der Neut has been active in the automotive and direct marketing industry for the past 25 years.

As the former Vice President and General Manager of Retention Performance Marketing (RPM) for Autobytel, he was responsible for advancing the division’s growth and developing new and innovative ways to help automotive dealers service their customers.

Van der Neut came to Autobytel after leading the successful sale of his company, iDriveonline, Inc., to Autobytel in 2004.  As founder, president, and CEO of iDriveonline, van der Neut successfully grew the company to the sixth fastest-growing technology company in Houston, as recognized by the Fast Tech 50 in 2003. In addition, the company’s product was recognized as one of the nation’s best by the 2005 American Business Awards.

Prior to launching iDriveonline, van der Neut served as director of sales for Gulf States Marketing Services (GSMS), an automotive direct marketing affiliate of Gulf States Toyota. In this capacity, he was responsible for increasing sales 250 percent in four years.

Van der Neut is a recognized industry expert, and has served as an expert source for publications including CRM, Auto Remarketing Magazine, Dealer Marketing Magazine, Inside 1to1 and Line56.

Board of Advisors

Sanjay Desai

Sanjay Desai served as founder and managing partner for FCS Investments.  The Company focused on taking executive management roles in small to mid-market private companies in established industries.  The Company’s core investments were strategic acquisitions, such as ownership transitions.

Prior to founding FCS Investments, Desai, was founder and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of iDriveonline from April 2000 to April 2004.  Desai was responsible for managing the financial growth and operations, budgeting & forecasting, reporting, and capitalization of the Company from inception through acquisition.  In April 2004, iDriveonline was acquired for $11.7 million by a publicly traded company, Autobytel.  Desai led the acquisition of iDriveonline from preliminary discussions with Autobytel through closing of the deal.  This sale equated to a return of 115% annually over a four year period.

Desai is a graduate of the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting (1991) and is a certified public accountant.

Stephen B. Solcher, Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Stephen B. Solcher is senior vice president, chief financial officer for BMC Software.

Solcher served as interim chief financial officer and treasurer of BMC Software from August 2005 until he was named senior vice president and chief financial officer in December 2005. Previously, Solcher served as vice president of Finance and treasurer from 2000 to 2005 and corporate treasurer from 1992 to 2000. Solcher joined BMC Software in 1991 as assistant treasurer.  Prior to joining BMC Software, Inc., Solcher was an experienced audit manager with Arthur Andersen & Co.

Solcher also serves as a member of Mays Business School’s Development Council and is a board member of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston and Houston Museum of Natural Science.

Solcher received a Bachelor of Administration degree from Texas A&M University.

Richard Greene, Service & Parts Director for Parker Lexus

Richard Greene has more than 20 years of experience in car dealership service management.  He currently serves as the Service and Parts Director for Parker Lexus, Little Rock, AR, which earned a #1 in the nation customer satisfaction rating for all U.S. Lexus dealers under his leadership.

Prior to joining Parker Lexus in 2001 as Service Manager, Greene was Cadillac Shop Foreman for Mortiz Cadillac in Arlington, TX.  He managed 25 technicians, four service advisors and service support staff and consulted with the GM Assembly Plant in Arlington, TX on Cadillac product issues.

Greene began his career at Sewell Village Cadillac in Dallas, where he received extensive training in customer satisfaction initiatives under the direction of dealership founder Carl Sewell, author of the international best seller, Customers for Life.  While at Sewell, he completed his ATcon dealership fixed operations training; he has also completed Edward Deming training on production.

Greene is an honors graduate of the General Motors Automotive Service Educational Program (ASEP) and served on the GM ASEP Advisory Board from 1990-96.

Johnny Thad Minyard – Retired

Under Mr. Minyard’s leadership at McCoy, a full service office furniture dealer, the company has seen its annual revenues grow to $120 million.  Mr. Minyard began his career at McCoy as Vice President of Sales and Marketing.  He also serves as Chairman of the Board for Rockford Business Interiors and Ascension Bay Corporation, and is a Board of Director for Memphis Business Interiors.  Mr. Minyard received a BBA in Industrial Management from Texas Technology University and an MBA from S.M.U.
